Palmer Hiring Full-Time Police Officer

Palmer Township Police Chief Larry Palmer has interviewed his department's part-time officers for the position.

The is hiring a full-time police officer.

Police Chief Larry Palmer recently informed the that he, Sgt. Tom Trinchere and Township Manager interviewed the department's part-time officers for the post.

Palmer said the officers "did very well in the interview process and are very capable officers."

"We are now reviewing performance evaluations and then the committee will make a final decision," the chief said.

"We applied for a public safety improvement project to improve the record storage area in the Police Department," Christman said.

  • Christman said regarding the flood plan mapping issue Supervisor Bob Lammi brought up at the last meeting, the township planning director said it is not a federal requirement to notify residents, but "we will be notifying our residents of the changes."
