Palmer Sells Municipal Property

Suburban EMS buys property for $1 for Palmer Township expansion.

The has approved the sale of municipal property to Suburban EMS for $1.

The property, a little more than an acre, features a building behind Surburban EMS that had been in disrepair.

"The township doesn't have use for it," Supervisors Chairman Dave Colver said. "Let them expand next door. I think this is a win-win for everybody. It really helps Suburban."

Township Solicitor Charles Bruno said the property is being sold as is.

  • Extended the deadline for a year for the CMC Development/Maple Shades Estates subdivision. -- The developer had made the request in a letter to Bruno.
  • Appointed The Pidcock Company as township engineer for municipal sewer services. -- With the Palmer Township Sewer Authority now dissolved, the township needed an engineer to help with ongoing sewer projects, Township Manager said.
  • Appointed Steven N. Goudsouzian as the township solicitor for municipal sewer services. -- Goudsouzian was the township solicitor for the sewer authority. He will keep his same fee of $125 an hour.
  • Approved using township property for a tank remediation project. -- Easton Suburban has requested making water tank repairs and doing painting near the football field. The work would start Aug. 27 and last two months.
