Wednesday is the first day of collection by Waste Management. So if that's your collection day, just put your trash and recycling out Tuesday night, placing existing cans at the curb the same as always.

Once you receive your new automated cart, you should begin using it immediately, following the directions inside.

Waste Management will be collecting manually and automatically, as and where needed, until the transition is complete.

Anyone with questions about your new collection day or a problem with a missed pickup should contact either Waste Management Customer Service at 800-621-2100 or the township office at (610) 253-7191.

"This is a large undertaking and we are making every effort to make this conversion as smooth as possible. We ask for your patience throughout the transition," Palmer officials stated in an announcement on their website.
