A police report does not indicate a conviction. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty. All information provided is considered public knowledge available under the Open Records Act in Pennsylvania.

On Tuesday, June 19, Constable Peter Glenn and Constable Joshua Stouch, with the assistance of officers from the Philadelphia Police Department took Leonard Barnard, of the 5000 block of Chew Avenue, Philadelphia into custody without incident. Barnard was taken into custody for failing to respond to citations for Driving at Unsafe Speeds and Accidents Involving Overturned Vehicles (related to Commercial Vehicles). Barnard was the driver of a tractor-trailer carrying produce which crashed on westbound Route 422 near River Bridge Road in Amity Township, Berks County on Feb. 22, 2012, causing the highway to be shut down for hours. The vehicle rolled over the guardrail and down a steep embankment into a ravine, trapping Barnard for over 30 minutes until he was rescued by fire personnel.

Barnard was released from Berks County Central Processing after posting $1,000 collateral. A future hearing will be scheduled before MDJ Victor Frederick, Berks County.
