Former Pottstown Man Wanted in Three Counties in Southeast PA Apprehended After Day-Long Hunt

On Monday, May 7th, 2012, Steven Tyler Wambold, 22, most recently of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, was apprehended in the area of Washington and Cherry Street in Pottstown Borough after a day-long search of Berks, Chester, and Montgomery counties. Wambold was wanted for Failure to Appear for sentencing before District Judge Maurice Saylor, District Court 38-2-03, in regards to a conviction for Driving Under Suspension and related offenses. Additionally, after a background search, it was discovered that Wambold also had many other Summary arrest warrants out of multiple district courts in Berks and Montgomery counties for traffic related offenses. A search of Chester County records also showed an active Felony warrant, held by State Police in Embreeville PA, for Forgery, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Identity Theft out of District Court 15-3-01. Wambold was committed to MCCF after being sentenced to 30 days for the traffic violations and failure to pay fines and costs before Judge Saylor as well as the detainer for the Chester County charges.
