Got Your Back?

Four men abandoned by their Commander in Chief.

The father of one of the former Navy SEALs killed in the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya says President Barack Obama wouldn’t even look him in the eye and Vice President Joe Biden was disrespectful during the ceremony when his son’s body returned to America. He also says the White House’s story on the attack doesn’t pass the smell test.

Charles Woods, father of Tyrone Woods, called into a talk show Thursday and recounted his interactions with the president, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Biden at the ceremony for the Libya victims at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. He recounted what they told him, coupled with new reports that indicate the Obama administration knew very good and well, almost immediately, that a terrorist attack was occurring in Benghazi, make him certain that the American people are not getting the whole truth.

Vice President Biden made this comment to the father who had just lost his hero son.

Woods said Biden came over to his family and asked in a “loud and boisterous” voice, “Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?”

“Are these the words of someone who is sorry?” said Woods.

The grieving father also described his brief encounter with President Obama during the ceremony for the Libya victims.

“When he finally came over to where we were, I could tell that he was rather conflicted, a person who was not at peace with himself,” Woods said. “Shaking hands with him, quite frankly, was like shaking hands with a dead fish. His face was pointed towards me but he would not look me in the eye, his eyes were over my shoulder.”

“I could tell that he was not sorry,” he added. “He had no remorse.”

Mr. Woods described his meeting with President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, describing their apologies to him as feeling "insincere." He expressed concerns that the administration was deliberately negligent of the safety of those in Benghazi on the 11th. He further proposed that the White House is not yet telling the whole, and the public needs to keep pushing for answers.

Sadly, Tyrone Woods was only expected to be in Libya for a few more days before the attack happened and he responded to the calls for help, as his father described. "In six more days, he would have been home."

When asked by the host what we can do to honor his son, Mr. Woods replied:

We need to make sure that this does not happen again. Ty isn't the only military person that's willing to lay down his life for his buddies and for the other people that he works with. Every person in the military is willing to do that, and it would just be a matter of just, I don't know, for people to continue to be courageous. He's gone, he's dead, one of these days I feel I'll see my son in Heaven. And I'm not mad at anyone, so it's not a matter of revenge or anything like that...but the truth needs to be out so something like this doesn't happen again, so that people like Ty who are out there - principled men and women - that are willing to sacrifice their lives, that they won't be abandoned by their Commander in Chief.

The show ended with a chilling statement from Ty's father:

We do need to find out who it was that gave the order not to protect our military people there, and whoever it is needs to have the guts to stand up and say, "I was the one that gave the order not to send troops to protect," because they could have, the military would have wanted to. Someone had to have said don't rescue them.

Tyrone Woods was killed along with US Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, fellow Navy SEAL Glen Doherty and State Department Information Analyst Sean Smith.

Hillary Clinton’s comments to Woods raise even more questions about the White House’s official story on the Benghazi attack, which has already been extremely inconsistent.

After apologizing for his loss, Woods said Clinton told him that the U.S. would “make sure that the person who made that film is arrested and prosecuted.

“When she said that, I could tell that she was not telling me the truth,” Woods said about Clinton.

In the words of Mr. Woods, "I hope that the public will not forget this."

The Obama Administration knew within 2 hours of the attack that it was an organized, well-armed terrorist group (not demonstrators over a video which they blamed for weeks, blaming America, disavowing the video).

How did the Obama Administration respond to their requests for more security? Withdrew military assets from Libya and increased the pay for these four soon-to-die men, "hazard pay."  Some say to protect the world image of peaceful relations with the Arab world.  "Bin Laden is dead, GM is alive, and Al Qaeda is on the run."  After this, Obama-Biden stopped bragging Al Qaeda is on the run.  It most certainly is stronger and growing.

At 4 a.m. local time -- 6 hours and 20 minutes after the initial attack began -- former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed at the CIA annex by a mortar shell. The machine gun they were firing was caked in blood, suggesting they continued fighting after being hit.

The last two casualties occurred well over six hours after the initial attack.  Our national command authorities failed to try to reinforce the consulate with timely air assets, and that a consulate located in one of the most dangerous regions in the world was unsecured.  The consulate was attacked in June and again in August, insurgents blowing a hole in the wall large enough to drive a truck through.

With so many Americans asking questions, including Congressional hearings, why doesn't our Commander in Chief make a statement, set the record straight?

Obama went to bed that night leaving Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty to die.

The next day he flew to Vegas for a fundraiser.
