I LOVE Costco

A rainy Costco experience

Can any of those among us say that they haven't been terrified to enter the Costco parking lot on a rainy day? Fair weather days are bad enough, but add a rain storm to the mix and watch what happens.

OK, let's begin with the  people parked at the sliding doors--it would be much easier if you just walked to and from your car like the rest of us!

Purchasing a mattress, large screen TV, 7 ft. oak tree, or any other enormous item? Today may not be the best day to transport that to your vehicle. Trying to push a 200 lb. cart through a maze of haphazardly parked SUV's, abandoned shopping carts, lake sized puddles, and lots of slow moving, hooded citizens all while holding a Costco-sized umbrella? An umbrella, really? I promise you that a little rain on the face is not going to kill you.

And you people with the Kentucky license plates, I know it seems crazy and it probably is, but people in this area drive and shop like maniacs!  You need to go with the flow or move out of the way. Today I saw someone blocking a parking entrance for a good 5 minutes just waiting to get a spot that was literally 10 feet closer to the front doors.  After some deep breaths, a few knowing smiles from the other shoppers inside, and a yummy sample of a chicken flauta (whatever that is), I realize that even in the rain,  I LOVE Costco.
