Market Morsels from Collegeville Farmers' Market - 'Tis the Season

CFM's Cool Yule celebration will feature all the fresh local veggies and fruit that you can't come by in December, plus holiday fun and festive flavors.

Collegeville Farmers' Market's Christmas in July

This extended heat wave had us feeling like chestnuts roasting over an open fire, so this Saturday, when temperatures drop to a refreshing 80 degrees, Collegeville Farmers’ Market will be celebrating like it's Christmas on Saturday, July 21.

Our Cool Yule celebration will feature all the fresh local veggies and fruit that you can't come by in December, plus holiday fun and festive flavors like gingerbread, peppermint... and more. Plus, we'll be decking the "stalls" with holiday decorations and getting a huge jump on our Christmas shopping.

Christmas Spirits

Frecon Farms will be rolling out their Early Man cider for the first time at our market this season and helping to boost Christmas spirits. A'Dello Winery will be sampling local wines. All Hands in the Cookie Jar will be baking gluten-free and allergen-free Christmas cookies in lots of fun shapes, plus GF vanilla-cranberry bread and mini pumpkin bread loaves. And ICED By Betsy cupcakes will bring visions of sugar plums to life with amazing flavors like egg nog, peppermint and hot cocoa.

Entertaining Made Easy

Great ideas for entertaining are available at our market every week. These week treats include: Yellow Springs Farms artisan goat cheese, Fat Head Peppers gourmet peppers, international treats like falafel and baba ganoush from Philading, fresh guacamole made onsite by Anita’s Guacamole, Fresh Apeel Hummus and more. Bendy Brook Farm provides free-range poultry and eggs and chemical-free, pastured, beef, pork and even goat. So making a special healthy meal is easy…especially with the bounty of organically raised veggies from Down Home Acres and Longview Center for Agriculture, plus fresh fruit from Frecon Farms

Early Christmas Shopping

You can shop early for Christmas gifts like original clothing and jewelry designs by Kay Bryant, perennial plants and trees from Behmerwald Nursery and hand-crafted wood items and pens from Neil’s Sharpening Service. Neil will also sharpen your knives, scissors and garden tools while you wait.

And don’t forget your furry friends. Joe Paws Bakery has baked special holiday treats just for them.

Christine and Company will be entertaining with their crowd-pleasing acoustic sound, and a few Christmas songs as well. To see a full list of our vendors, visit www.collegevillefarmersmarket.org.
