National Fire Prevention Month

Helping Buyers and Sellers stay "Market Ready"

In my 9/22 blog entitled "Buyers Want to know" I reminded everyone to have their heating system serviced (to make sure it's operating safely as well as efficiently) and to make sure smoke detectors/carbon monoxide detectors have been installed and batteries changed in the existing units. Here is another area to add to your yearly maintenance list AND that potential Buyers may ask about : The dryer vent.  Have it checked and (professionally) cleaned yearly to help prevent dryer fires and enhance dryer life and efficiency.

Being proactive and safe is everyone's concern. October is National Fire Prevention Month. Here is the link to FEMA's website to learn more.   http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=30758.
