Perk Valley Raiders Move Into Tie for 1st Place in the Montco American Legion
Perk Valley Raiders take share of first place in the Montco 14/15 y/o Jr American Legion. Face off with 2 first place teamsd on Tues June 12 at 6pm at PV High School
Sat June 9 - PV Raiders top JP Mascaro in back-and-forth affair, 7-6
In a game that saw seven lead changes, the PV Raiders 14/15 American Legion
baseball team won it in the bottom of the seventh inning at Perk Valley High
School.
Trent Tyson (3-0) went the distance for the Raiders recording his third
straight win allowing 4 earned runs, striking out four, giving up one walk and
10 hits.

JP Mascaro jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The
see-saw battle then ensued with each team trading the lead. After a quick
strike from JP Mascaro with four runs in the top of the fifth, the resilient
Raiders responded with four runs of their own in their half of the inning.
Consecutive singles by Sean Moriarity and Adam Gaines set the tone. John
Turner's RBI single drove in Moriarity. Liam Grande reached on an error then
Jake Riehs stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and drilled a bomb to left
center field clearing the bases and tying the score.
With the game tied at six, no runs were recorded for either team until the
games final half inning. Turner led off the bottom of the seventh with a single
up the middle. Connor Beaudoin then pinch ran for Turner, representing the
games winning run. Riehs walked then Beaudoin advanced to third on a passed
ball. Austin Lee laid down a beautiful drag bunt to score Beaudoin and win the
game for the Raiders who improved their record to 7-1.

Sun June 10 - PV Raiders Gaine a No-Hitter beating Plymout 10-0
Sunday was a day the Perk Valley Raiders Adam Gaines will set aside for the scrapbook as he threw a no-hitter in the Raiders' 10-0 victory over Plymouth at Perk Valley High School.
No Plymouth batter was able to locate Gaines' pitches during the game. He struck out six and walked just one while recording his momentous feat.
The Raiders blew out Plymouth thanks to nine hits, including extra base hits from Sean Moriarity and Liam Grande. Moriarity and John Turner contributed two hits each.
The Raiders scored three runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Turner and a sacrifice fly by Trent Tyson. Morarity racked up two RBIs doubling in the fourth inning and singling in the sixth.
This was the Raiders seventh consecutive win as they now stand at 8-1. They share first place with Wissahickon in the Montco Junior American Legion league and face off w/ Wissahickon on Tues June 12 at 6pm at Perk Valley High School.
