Perk Valley Aquatic Club Wraps Up Championship Season

PVAC wraps up another winning season ( Final Standings here: http://www.pvaquatic.com/winlossrecord.htm )

The Perkiomen Valley Aquatic Club (PVAC) held their annual Swim & Dive Team banquet on March 2, 2013.   PVAC is comprised of some 300+ rostered swimmers, participates in the 22 team Suburban Aquatic League (SAL), and is the feeder program to both Perk Valley High School and Spring-Ford High School Swim and Dive teams. 

PVAC Girls head swim coach Brian Zeigler (also an assitant coach w/ the PV HS swim team), Boys head swim coach Geoff Wilson, and PVAC’s diving team head Coach Traci Fenstermacher enjoyed yet another very successful season. For the second consecutive season, the PVAC Boys team went undefeated claiming 1st place in the SAL West Division.  The PVAC Girls team went 4-1 finishing in 2nd place behind Radnor.  Dating, back to November 2008, the Boys/Girls combined regular season team record is  41-9.  (PVAC Girls are 22-3, PVAC Boys are 19-6).  

PVAC's season concluded w/ the SAL Championship meet held at LaSalle University where the top 18 fastest swimmers across the Suburban Aquatic League compete against each other.  PVAC individual Boys medalist’s at SAL League Champs included Wyatt Amdor (Gold in 100 breast, Silver in 200 IM, and Bronze in 100 free), Zach Alderfer (Bronze in 50 back), and the relay of Alderfer, Nolan Benner, Kristian Stanczewski, and Andrew Grossbauer (Bronze in 200 Medley Relay).

PVAC individual Girls medalist’s at SAL League Champs included Elizabeth Turner (Bronze in 50 butterfly), and the relays of Turner, Paige Curcio, Maddie Cooper, and Abigail Amdor (Bronze in 200 Free Relay) and Meredith Ruckelshaus, Madison Fritz, Caitlin Hamill, and Aubrey Souders (Bronze in 200 Medley Relay). 

Elizabeth Turner was PVAC's sole undefeated swimmer though 5 regular season and 2 post season dual meets.
