PV Raiders 14/15 American Legion take 2 of 3 over the weekend

Perk Valley Raiders 14/15 y/o American Legion baseball

Fri June 22 - Lee & DiLeonardo team up for no-hitter in 8-1 victory over Pottstown

PV's Austin Lee and Vinny DiLeonardo joined forces to throw a no-hitter for the Raiders 8-1 victory in a rain shortened, four inning game over Pottstown this past Friday at Perk Valley High School.  The duo struck out six while walking four.  Pottstown had no answer for Lee who kept runners off the base paths in his appearance.  He held Pottstown hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out five.  Lee pulled double duty, leading the Raiders on both offense and defense in the win racking up two hits with singles in the second and third innings and added two RBIs for the Raiders.  Eight runs in the
opening three innings allowed the Raiders to easily put away Pottstown.  An RBI single by John Turner in the first inning and a two-run single by Lee, a groundout by Jake Riehs, an RBI single by Liam Grande, and a two-run single by Gabe Kolb during the second inning helped the Raiders put some runs on the board early.
