radishes with bread, butter and salt
this simple nosh can spark an impromptu get together with a friend or two on one of those perfect summer evenings watching the sun go down and the fireflies come out

this is a recipe for a summer evening
gather a friend or two and find some chairs outside with a good view so you can watch the sky fade into twilight.
buy a perfectly crusty baguette, a freshly picked bunch of radishes, some sea salt, some unsalted butter and icy cold bottles of a tasty ale. slice the baguette, or just rip it into chunks. wash the radishes and pat them dry, you can leave them whole or slice them, depending on your mood. put the sea salt into a small bowl and let the butter come down to room temperature. put everything on a tray and head outside.

spread some butter on a piece of baguette and sprinkle liberally with the sea salt. alternatively, you could butter the bread and dip the radishes into the salt. eat the radishes with the bread and wash it down with sips of icy cold ale.
repeat as many times as desired.
