Want to use the color green for your wedding?

Green is not only the color of foliage but the color of several beautiful flowers used for weddings.

Both leaves and flowers come in beautiful shades of green for a bride to use as part of her color palette.   Green mixes with practically any other color!  There are so many interesting types of green foliage and some of them are combined with other colors.  Aspidistra leaves can have white or dark pink stripes throughout them.  Croton leaves can come in green with splotches of red, pink, orange, or yellow.  Yellow variegated ginger leaves are fabulous.  But did you know that these days there are many, many popular green wedding flowers?  These include hypericum berries, Bells of Ireland, zinnias, roses (my favorite being SuperGreen), button mums, cushion mums, fuji mums, cockscomb, amaranthus, Ladies Mantle, hydrangea, viburnum, carnations, anthurium, dendrobium orchids, cymbidium orchids, trachelium, leucadendron, lotus pods, and standard calla lilies.  Growers are also currently showing green alstromeria and gerber daisies - but I'll wait to use them until they appear more green than yellow.  If you have any questions, please contact me at WhimsicalWelcomes@yahoo.com and ask me about green flowers.
