Camp Rainbow Inc. Fundraising Kicks Off with Casino Royale Event
The Montgomery County camp for deserving children is willing to bet a May 9 casino event will raise funds for the nonprofit organization.

Fundraising for Montgomery County’s Camp Rainbow Inc. is a high stakes event.
Perhaps that’s why the board is hoping to hit the jackpot in camp funding during a May 9 Casino Royale event. Held at J.P. Mascaro & Sons corporate headquarters in Audubon, the event features five sponsorship options, as well as $100 tickets. In all, 200 tickets are available.
The nearly 65-year-old camp each year fundraises to replenish its roughly $160,000 budget, which provides a week-long overnight camping experience for several hundred deserving Montgomery County children. This year’s camping season begins on June 21 and continues through Aug. 7.

The Montgomery County-based camp, which was established in 1951, is located on the Perkiomen Creek. The camp and its organizers have struggled the last few years to make ends meet following funding cuts and dwindling donations. It costs $267 for each camper’s week-long overnight camping experience. The camp subsidizes the bulk of those fees in addition to covering regular maintenance, salaries and the cost of camping supplies and equipment.
