Skippack Village Celebrates Cinco De Mayo

La Villa Mexican Grille held a weekend-long party in honor of the holiday.

La Villa Mexican Grille held its second annual Cinco De Mayo celebration over the weekend, making the most of its recent transformation from a BYOB to a full-service bar and transforming into a perfect spot to enjoy a food meal and a margarita on the holiday.

Located next to the Italian Market in the heart of Skippack, La Villa, run by owner and chef Rene Zepeda, offers a vibrant twist on authentic cuisine. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it creates a comfortable atmosphere

In preparation for the Cinco De Mayo a bar was put in place, lights were hung, tables were set, and a DJ was hired. By Friday afternoon, the restaurant and its decor, screamed Cinco De Mayo.

Most of the crowd flocked in on Saturday to celebrate the holiday early, but margaritas and enchiladas were still flowing out of the kitchen by the dozen come Sunday.

The DJ kept people entertained with zesty Mexican dance music, and the tubs of iced Coronas and Modellos kept many of the guests in good spirits through out all three nights.
