The making of cheese has been born by the necessity of getting added value for the hard earned milk. Our famers cannot survive by selling fluid milk alone. Our cheese makers and milk providers are somewhat isolated as they do not use autos and have to hike to the “phone booth.” This has limited their distribution routes.
