Valley Forge Baptist Temple is hosting a CPR and first-aid class on Feb. 12, from noon to 2 p.m.
The course, presented by Cardiac Care, Inc., is being held as a result of the rescue of a 7-year-old boy who recently choked on a marshmallow at the church. According to a press release issued by VFBT, a parishioner was able to dislodge the obstruction using the Heimlich maneuver, saving the boy's life.
Following the emergency, VFBT organized the training course, and invites community members to enroll.
