CMS is hosting a workshop for guitarist & guitar students interested in learning how to change strings and tune their instrument. Acoustic & Electric Varieties Welcomed!
The workshop will focus on efficient techniques for replacing strings, covering types of strings, frequency of string changes, ways to prolong string life, and methods of stringing various types of guitars (electric or acoustic, steel or nylon, ball-end or tie-end). A string winder is a necessity, and one may be purchased at the workshop if needed. Students will need to provide a fresh set of strings, but don’t remove the old ones before the workshop! Don Reese, CMS guitar, bass and mandolin instructor for over 15 years will lead the workshop.
