Japanese Drum and Dance Group Performance

Ursinus College will host a performance by Tamagawa University Taiko Drum and Dance Group, April 4 at 7 p.m., at The Kaleidoscope Lenfest Theater.

This Japanese-based group is made up of almost 30 drummers performing taiko drumming and Japanese folk dance, in both traditional and modern styles.

Although this event is free, tickets are required. To place your name on the waiting list, call the box office at 610-409-3795.

At the performance, Ursinus student groups will collect funds to assist in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan on March ll. A special fund is also being developed to accept donations on behalf of Ursinus' sister institution, Tohoku Gakuin University in Sendai, Japan, a region hard hit by the earthquake and tsunami.
