Rich Berardi was a volunteer fire fighter for over 20 years;
10 of which were with the Schwenksville Volunteer Fire Company. When he passed away from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in October of 2011 a memorial scholarship was established in his name.
This scholarship is given annually to a high school senior who is also a junior firefighter with the Schwenksville Volunteer Fire Company. The Rich Berardi Memorial Scholarship 5K run/3K walk is an annual event to support the scholarship.
