St. Eleanor Centennial Sunday Oct 16-Parish Center Dedication-Mass and Dinner

St. Eleanor Roman Catholic Church, Collegeville, will be holding a Centennial Celebration on Sunday, October 16, 2011.

The parish, located at 647 Locust Street, has been giving thanks for the 100 years it has been serving the people of the Collegeville area.  The parish’s year-long celebration comes to a conclusion with the Centennial Mass on October 16 at 2:30pm, celebrated by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., the newly-installed leader of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Prior to the Mass, the Archbishop will preside over the dedication of the new Parish Center at 1:30pm.   The Parish Center, an addition to the St. Eleanor parish school, includes ten new classrooms, a new library and cafeteria and opened up additional meeting space for the Parish Ministries. The additional classrooms enabled St. Eleanor to create a dedicated Science Lab and offer a new Pre-Kindergarten program for 3 and 4 year olds.
