Full-Day Afternoon Activities:
From Minuets to Rumba: One of the characteristics of baroque music is that it is either dance music or was inspired by the court dances of the time. Many of these tunes share the name of the associated dance. You may have heard the terms minuet, sarabande, gigue (or jig), bourée, rigaudon, gavotte, courante, mentioned in the context of music. These dances are all examples of baroque dances. Campers will explore the different styles of dances through dancing and playing the music.

Enrichment Workshops to include Music Technology & Composition, Rhythm Building with Percussive Instruments, Fiddling Tunes, Music & Movement

FINAL PERFORMANCE
Students will present a Suzuki Play-Down Concert for family and friends on the final day of camp at 4:15 PM in Ingrid Larsen Evans Hall at CMS.
