Vivace Junior Strings Camp

Vivace is a 1-week, Suzuki-based program for string students ages 6 to 11 years, who are currently in Suzuki books 1-6. Students may enroll in either a half-day program 9:00am-1:00pm or a full-day program 9:00am- 4:00pm.

 

Half-Day Activities: (students assigned to groups based on age, level & personal schedule)
Technique class: develop & improve specific skills to enhance overall playing
Master class: perform or observe in these “public lessons”
Chamber music: small group ensembles
Lunch 11:50 AM-12:30 PM
Solo Time 12:30-1PM Mon-Thurs with a Friday Talent Show
Half-Day Dismissal—1:00 PM

Enrichment Workshops to include Music Technology & Composition, Rhythm Building with Percussive Instruments, Fiddling Tunes, Music & Movement.


FINAL PERFORMANCE
Students will present a Suzuki Play-Down Concert for family and friends on the final day of camp at 4:15 PM in Ingrid Larsen Evans Hall at CMS.

 

HALF-DAY/FULL-DAY TUITION AND FEES
Registration Fee for New Students (non-refundable): $15

Current CMS Students are not required to pay registration fee

Register by April 30, 2012 Tuition: $185/$325

Register after May 1, 2012 Tuition: $200/$350

Sibling Discount with Registration Before April 30, 2012: $170/$300
