Food Truck Rally and Car Show
Mark your calendars for October 11th from 12 to 6. The Rotary Club of Central Perkiomen is hosting an Octoberfest Food Truck Rally and Car Show in Schwenksville. The event will provide entertainment for people of all ages and is open to the public. Featured will be many local food truck vendors selling a large variety of meals, snacks and desserts. There will also be a beer and wine tent available for the adults in the crowd. On hand to provide music and entertainment throughout the day will be a d.J. Antique and Classic cars will be on display for all to admire. Rounding out the day will be a raffle that includes a large screen smart TV along with many other gift baskets donated by local businesses. A 50-50 drawing will also be held.
The Rally will take place at the Central Perkiomen Rotary Field Complex (at the corner of Cemetery Road and Township Line Road in Schwenksville). Exhibitors and Car owners can sign up for the event by going to the Rotary Club of Central Perkiomen website at www.centralperkrotary.com. This event is rain or shine. Proceeds from the event will go towards building a playground at the Rotary Complex. The Food Truck Rally and Car Show is sponsored by Tony’s Towing and Transport , Aiken & Son Plumbing and Heating and by Ambler Savings Bank. The Rotary Club of Central Perkiomen is a service club in the Schwenksville Community. They provide many donations and services to the local area including: The Schwenksville Halloween Parade, Jerusalum Lutheran Food Pantry Donations, Turkey Donations, The 4 Way Speech Test, Camp Neidig, The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy and a donation of laptop computers to 8 deserving families in the community. Central Perkiomen Rotary Club also partners with Shelter Box to provide tents and other necessities to families who are struck by a disaster. The Club also owns and maintains the Rotary Baseball Complex (where the event is taking place) and donates the space to Central Perkiomen Youth Association (CPYA) for baseball and softball teams.
