Getting to Know Cut Flowers - Button Chrysanthemums

There are so many wonderful varieties of chrysanthemums that I'm going to blog about them individually.  Button chrysanthemums are the smallest of the mum family and are available in white, lemon yellow, golden yellow, lime green, rust, lavender and purple.  The purples, white, and lemon yellows  are more prolific in the Spring and Summer while golden yellows and rust are more prevalent in Fall.

 I use all types of mums in a lot in wedding work because of the little punch of color that they can add to an arrangement. The lime green mums have gotten particularly popular!  Mums are a very affordable, long lasting flower.  Button mums can be used as a spray or individually on their stems.  They are what I'd call a little fun flower.
