The U.S. women's soccer team has jumped out to an early 1-0 lead against France in a Women's World Cup semifinal match.

SB Nation is reporting via ESPN's Bob Holtzman that starting goaltender Hope Solo tweaked a hamstring during pre-game warmups. She is still in goal.

If the injury requires her to leave the game, Nicole Barnhart, of Gilbertsville, will likely step in for her. Barnhart, 29, is the more experienced backup goaltender on the roster and ably filled in last year while Solo was recovering from a shoulder injury.

The winner of the game will advance to the final against the winner of the other semifinal match between Japan and Sweden, which follows this match.

The game is live on ESPN and is also available for online viewing at ESPN3.
