Help Bring Joy to Montgomery County Children on #GivingTuesday

Camp Rainbow Inc. is championing Giving Tuesday and encouraging its supporters, former campers and the Montgomery County community as a whole to offer contributions as part of the fourth annual day of charitable giving. Set for Dec. 1 - the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving - Giving Tuesday is a global cause estimated to increase online contributions by 470%.

A nonprofit organization which funds its roughly $160,000 annual budget solely on generous contributions, we are hopeful that the community’s continued generosity could help us raise just 25% of our annual spending plan on Dec. 1.

Since 1951 we have operated an overnight summer camp for deserving Montgomery County children. We would like to install a gaga pit in time for the 2016 season. With your help, we can do that!

The camp has provided thousands of campers between the ages of 7 and 16 with memorable camping experiences. Each summer the Camp Rainbow Inc. family expands as we meet hundreds of new boys and girls.

Campers, with the help of our counselors and staff, develop a true appreciation of nature, the arts and physical fitness by taking part in swimming, arts, crafts, archery, boating, fishing, nature study, campfires, skits and storytelling.

The camp fundraises year-round to provide these vitally important activities to area children who may not be able to attend camp otherwise.
