Media Gallery: Inaugural Farmer Showdown
Area farming teams compete in an array of unusual games
The World's Greatest Farmer Showdown took over the Longview Center for Agriculture on Saturday afternoon as area farms competed in a variety of events including a pumpkin shot put, a three-legged race and a wheelbarrow obstacle course.
Involved in the competition were teams from Camphill-Kimberton Farms, Hillside Farms, Blooming Glen Farms, Girard College, and the Young Farmers.
For those who wanted to pass on the competition, the ground were also filled with music, food stands and crafts including building your own scarecrow and pumpkin painting.
