Members of NCL, Inc., Valley Forge Chapter attend Villanova's FallFest for Special Olympics
NCL Inc. Valley Forge Chapter Members lend helping hand to Special Olympiads

Members of National Charity League, Inc., Valley Forge Chapter recently participated as volunteers at the Special Olympics Fall Festival held on the grounds of Villavova University during the weekend of November 5th and 6th. Over 1,000 athletes, 400 coaches and 6,000 volunteers were on hand at the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Fall State Games. Members were on hand to help out and cheer on athletes competing in six olympic-type sports including, bocce, long distance running, power-lifting, roller skating, soccer and volleyball. Over 130 mother and daughter members assisted athletes both days and supported their efforts with inspirational posters and pom-poms to cheer them to success!
NCL, Inc., Valley Forge Chapter have shown their support of the Special Olympics athletes with over 2,300 volunteer hours since the beginning of the groups partnership. In May, 55 NCL, Inc., Valley Forge Chapter members volunteered their support at a Special Olympics track and field event at Plymouth Whitemarsh HS. In December, 20 members plan to attend a 6 hour bowling tournament Special Olympics event at Limerick Bowl to show their support to the athletes. In addition, throughout the year members have shown their support at weekly Special Olympics practices.
"It was inspiring to see the athletes, despite their challenges, show such determination and overall positive attitude in their events. We were all proud to be supporting them," said Carol Hirst, NCL, Inc., Valley Forge Chapter Liason for Special Olympics.
