Mentally Surviving the Drama of Life

Life is full of incredible stories of sadness, so is my Twitter feed and Facebook posts from people all around the world. It is difficult to read them and it puts your problems into perspective in an instant. So what can we do in times of trouble and times when we feel helpless? First, take a deep breath, second realize that we can't fix everything, third, be grateful for all the good things in the world and our lives. Next look around and realize we are all in this together. Then be the ripple in the pond by doing one random act of kindness today, take a few moments and call an old friend or visit an elderly family member. Go outside and lift your face to the sky and feel the sun and embrace the beauty in the world. Accept that wars, death, and devastation have been a part of human's existence since the beginning of time. But so is happiness. The only thing humans have ever done in sad times is to put one foot in front of the other and move forward until one day our human body cannot. And then one of two things happen, nothing OR heaven. Either way, it's how we all will end up. Billions of people died before us. Great people, great leaders. We all will die, yet we don't want to talk about it. So what will you do between the dash? Born 1960-? I choose to believe, I choose to be kind, I choose to take care of myself, I choose to use my energy and my talents to help others. I know I can't stop war, poverty or drugs or abuse in the world but I can touch one life at a time and make a POSITIVE difference instead of spreading drama, slamming political leaders, stirring up the negative and adding to the stressful news feeds where people's minds are being filled with sadness and hatred. I have had cancer, I have been cheated, I have lost loved ones, I have health issues. But I will choose to stand tall in my faith. I choose to say a prayer for the world and the leaders to be filled with love and for all the "Lightworkers" trying to spread the love of God to touch one life at a time for the better. Carry on my friends, it's the only way to move. Forward with your head high. You have the gift of life, live each moment as the best you can create it to be. In peace, with the freedom you have and in a state of love for all-even those we want to condemn because they need it most!
