Phoenixville Battles Homeowners Over Illegal Route To Schuylkill Trail: Report

A sign has been installed forbidding use of the "unsafe" path.

A local homeowners association constructed an “unsafe” path from their development to the Schuylkill River Trail without Phoenixville‘s permission, according to a report in the Pottstown Mercury.

Now a sign has been installed by the borough forbidding use of the path built by the Northridge Village Homeowner’s Association (HOA), the report states.

There is reportedly not enough room between the road a hill heading into the forest for pedestrians and bikers to safely pass.

Phoenixville Borough Council member Jon Ichter II is the president of the HOA.

He declined to speak for the HOA when contacted by reporters, stating that his views may not align with those of the HOA, the report states.
