PVHS Student and Teacher Reunite After 30 Years to Fire Up the Local Art Scene
Fall in Love With Art show this Sunday features former PV High School teacher and student collaboration.

Who says you can’t go home again? Thirty years later this former teacher and student from Perkiomen Valley High School have reunited and decided to “make something happen” in the old hometown of Collegeville!
Susan (Banse) Hohman graduated from PVHS in 1986 and of course her favorite teacher was a Miss Smith, soon to be Mrs. (Susan) Klinger. Since then both Susan’s have pursued exciting careers in the Art field. (www.SusanHohmanFineArt.com and www.SusanKlinger.com ) After all that time, this past spring brought them back together by chance at an art exhibit they were both involved in at Meadowood Retirement Community in Skippack, PA. Since reconnecting, they both realized that although their careers differed in a lot of ways, the one thing that they both saw was lacking was the opportunity to get the work out there for people to see. So with that common goal, this previous mentor/apprentice set their minds together as a team this time and curated their own finely crafted show. Their goal is to offer a show of top caliber work from local artists but from a wide variety of styles , sizes and mediums. They really are hoping to represent “something for everyone”. An example of what you will find is pastel paintings, oils, gouache, pencil renderings, cold wax and oil , collage, stained glass and more.
Because the holidays are quickly approaching, there will be plenty of things priced for gift giving as well says Susan Klinger. Who wants to be the one giving the boring gift this year? (Unique gifts are so much more personal.) Original art is a great way to make your gift unique.
