Ellen Perla started in 1972 at Skippack Elementary School; other faculty and staff recognized

Susan Drauschak, Evergreen Elementary School Librarian
Susan was hired in 1974 as a librarian. She worked in several of our schools and has also served as an audio-visual coordinator, a mentor for new teachers, a Department chair, and has planned annual book fairs and author visits. She received the Children’s Literature and Teaching Award from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) in 1998-99.

Susan Haines, Schwenksville Elementary School Food Service Assistant
Susan was hired in September 1995 as a Food Service Assistant at the high school. She left the district for a few years and returned to the high school in 2004. She was transferred in 2007 to Schwenksville and retired in December 2011.

Marilyn Humphrey, PVMS East English Teacher
Marilyn was hired in 1974 as an English teacher at the high school, and worked in various PV schools throughout her career. She has served as a mentor for new teachers, as a director and assistant director of the East spring musical, assisted with the Outdoor Education Program and Wellness Day and was a member of the Language Arts Committee.
Sara Lutz, Skippack Elementary School Food Service Manager
Sara was hired in November 1984 and has worked at various PV schools throughout her long career. She served as Skippack’s Food Service Manager since 1998-99 until her retirement in September 2011.
Irene Malagari, Skippack Elementary School Teacher
Irene was hired in September 1994 to serve as a fifth-grade teacher at PV Middle School, and went on to serve at both Skippack and South elementary schools during her tenure with PV. She has been a third-grade teacher at Skippack since 2006-07.
Robert McNaughton, Music Teacher
Robert was hired in September 1981 as the band director at the high school, and went on to serve as a music teacher at many of our schools over his time at PV. He has served as a band director for Evergreen, South and Skippack Elementary Schools since 2002, and has also been a golf coach and a contributing member of the Middle States Steering Committee.
Christine Nawrocki, Evergreen Elementary School Teacher
Christine was hired in September 1975 as a special education teacher at PV Junior High School and went on to serve as a teacher at Kulp and North elementary schools. She has been a teacher at Evergreen since 1996-97 and has served as a mentor to new teachers.
Ellen Perla, South Elementary School Teacher
Ellen was hired in September 1972 as a first-grade teacher at Skippack Elementary School. She served as a reading teacher for the Summer Reading Program at Collegeville-Trappe Elementary School and was a mentor for new teachers. In addition to teaching at Skippack and South, she has been a Teacher on Special Assignment for early childhood issues/curriculum and was the District’s Early Childhood Coordinator in 2005-06.
Lynn Peterman, Schwenksville Elementary School Instructional Paraprofessoinal
Lynn was hired in September 2000 as an Instructional Paraprofessional at Evergreen Elementary School. She has served as a long-term substitute as well. She has been a staff member at Schwenksville in 2003-04.
Gail Schnaedter, Schwenksville Elementary School Teacher
Gail was hired in September 1995 as an Instructional Paraprofessional for sixth-grade learning support at PV Middle School and went on to serve as an emotional support and learning support teacher at various schools, and has also been a mentor for new teachers.
Sandra Sweeney, Perkiomen Valley High School Science Teacher
Sandra was hired in February 1986 as a science teacher at the high school. She went on to serve at PV Middle School and then returned to the high school to teach biology and earth/space science. She has served as Chair of the Science Department, an Advisor for the Envirothon club, and as a news release coordinator for the high school.
Holly Swenk, Skippack Elementary School Instructional Paraprofessional
Holly was hired in September 1989 as a library aide at the high school, and later became secretary for the Counseling Center at the high school. In 2000-01, she began at Skippack and stayed until her retirement this past December.
Jacki Trankle, PVHS Secretary
Jacki was hired in September 1972 as a cafeteria aide and served as a teacher’s aide at Skippack Elementary School the following year. She became a secretary at the high school in 1981-82.
Rita Vitale, Secretary to the Business Administrator
Rita was hired in December 1984 as a personnel clerk for the district. She went on to be an accounts payable clerk and a middle school secretary. In 1987, she became Secretary to the Business Manager.
