Real Estate Market Statistics for October 2013

The October 2013 Real Estate Market Statistics (provided by TrendMLS) are now officially posted for all our local counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.  Year to date for Montgomery County in October 2013, settled single family homes were up 16.75% from last year!  The average sales price in Montgomery County came in at $322,000 up 3.21% from the previous year.  Looking at our surrounding counties, Bucks County was up 22.71% in settled single family homes at an average of $334,000, Chester County was up 15.98% at $359,000, Delaware County was up 13.85% at $269,000, and lastly Philadelphia County was up 19.11% at an average of $179,000.

Narrowing in more locally to the Perkiomen Township, 15 homes sold in October 2013 at an average of $226,000.  The majority of these homes were 3 bedrooms.  Close by in the Collegeville Boro, 3 homes sold in October at an average sales price of $314,200.  These homes sold for an average of 102% of the sales price, meaning they sold for more than they were listed for!
