Stepping into your own Power

As we have explored in earlier blog posts, our lives exist on the basis of thought and action. First, we intend with our mind and second, we act accordingly- but what happens when we do not know how to take action? This is a very common concern when people first try to manifest the things they want in their lives. The answer gets easier when we learn to step into our personal power-to cultivate those wonderful qualities of confidence, expression, and courage.

The power-center of our body is located around the Solar Plexus- just above the navel. It is here where our bodies draw energy into the core. This energy is then organized and distributed throughout the rest of the body. When your power-center is active and working well, action becomes automatic. We feel confident and courageous and willing to express ourselves in the most organic way possible. Getting familiar with the feeling of stepping into your own power is all it takes to start shifting the thought and energetic body to enable you to take right action!

Here is an exercise which will help you step into your own source of power:

1. Stand firm and steady on the ground.

2. Feel your feet pressing evenly on the earth, establishing a firm foundation from which you can begin to extend the top of your head up to the sky.
3. Step one leg far behind you. Keep both sets of toes pointing straight ahead. The back heel can be lifted or lowered down on a slight angle.

4. Reestablish your foundation by keeping your weight evenly distributed on your feet.

5. Reach your arms out to the sides of your body. Grasp energy as you make fists with your hands and feel yourself pulling energy into your navel center as you take your fists to the bottom of your sternum (where the ribcage begins to separate).

6. The next time you repeat this action, step your back foot forward to a normal standing position as your fists pull energy into your center of power. It is in this action that you are literally stepping into your own power! Switch legs and repeat.

7. Feel the power in the movement. Each pull of energy grows, filling you up from the inside with confidence, courage, and power. Focus on warm, golden light shining from this place in your body. Allow it to lead you into action!

Practicing this exercise is easy and effortless. It simply acts as a reminder to connect back to our personal source of power. When this is practiced effectively, you will begin to notice how action is born in this area of your body. The ways to take action become easy and natural without requiring thought or effort. Have fun with this! Soon, all of your dreams and intentions will begin to manifest in your life.
