Madison Polignano was named second runner up in video contest organized by Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy

Thanks to the Perkiomen Valley School District for the following story:

Perkiomen Valley High School ninth-grader Madison Polignano’s video was selected as the second runner up in the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s “My Water — From Rainwater to Groundwater” Video Contest. As a result, the high school will receive a collection of native plants suitable for planting in a rain garden or butterfly garden.

Madison made it into the top five and her video was posted online for people to vote for as part of the contest, which ran through June 3. To enter the contest, students in grades 4 through 12 were invited to create a 1– to 3-minute video teaching people about the importance of rainwater and how to avoid pollution of stormwater runoff.
