Saturday, June 2 - The PV Raiders take out Whitemarsh with help from Turner, 6-2
The PV Raiders beat Whitemarsh 6-2 in seven innings on Saturday at Perk Valley HS behind PV's cleanup hitter John Turner who went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs. Trent Tyson recorded the win for the Raiders. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings, struck out two, walked four and surrendered four hits. Relief pitcher Gabe Kolb worked out of five tricky spots for the Raiders. He pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on no hits.

Whitemarsh jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first and increased their lead to 2-0 in the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, the PV Raiders scored four runs with a two-run triple by Turner and a wild pitch where Turner stole home to put the Raiders in the lead for good. Turner also lined a single to right in the sixth with bases loaded to drive in two more runs.
Sunday, June 3 - The PV Raiders beat Norriton behind Grande's seven strikeouts, 9-0

Liam Grande hopes every outing could go as well as Sunday, as Grande threw a shutout to carry the Raiders to a 9-0 victory over Norriton at Perk Valley HS in seven innings. This follows Grande’s perfect game on Tuesday vs. Norristown Rec. Grande was in control on the bump. The Norriton’s managed just one hit off of Grande, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
Everything was working at the plate for the PV Raiders in the second. The Raiders' bats caught fire leading to five runs led by 2 hits each from John Turner and Liam Grande. Grande boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Raiders. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.
The Raiders scored two runs in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with two more in the fifth. In the fourth, the Raiders scored on an RBI single by Vinny DiLeonardo, plating Gabe Kolb.
A sacrifice fly scored Grande to get the Raiders on the board in the inning. The PV Raiders are away vs. Valley Forge this Friday 6/8 at 6pm followed by games vs. Pottstown and JP Mascaro over the weekend. Their record now stands at 4-1.
