PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA — A third person has been charged in connection with the sextortion scheme involving more than two dozen Peters teens.
Charles Ezekiel Usner, 23, of Mt. Lebanon is facing multiple felony counts after allegedly meeting and engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old teen.
Usner's arrest is the latest development in the "catfishing" and "sextortion" scandal that has rocked the Peters community since February and involves more than two dozen teens.
While posing as other people, former Peters Township High School student Zachariah Meyers allegedly induced the juveniles involved to produce and disseminate explicit images and videos of themselves, requested them to "engage in prohibited sexual acts," then demanded $500 for not sharing the explicit materials.
Meyers, 19, is being held in the Washington County jail while awaiting trial on 67 consolidated criminal counts.
According to the Observer-Reporter of Washington, Usner began communicating with the teen in June 2025 and the pair had a sexual encounter in Peters Lake Park in July.
Usner is accused of recording the sex acts on the juveinile's cell phone. The teen subsequently contacted Mayers and told him he had "vids" of the sexual acts committed.
According to court documents, Usner has been charged with nvoluntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person under 16, statutory sex assault, unlawful contact with a minor, communication with a minor, film depicting a sex act, criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of a minor
Those are all felony counts. Usner also is accused of one misdemeanor count of indecent assault of a person under 16.
Usner is being held in the Washington County Jail pending an Aug. 17 preliminary hearing.
Another man, Aaron White, 30, of Fallowfield, Washington County, was charged last week in connection with his alleged involvement in the scheme.
White is accused of sending photos and videos of his genitals to a 15-year-old teen on multiple occasions last summer using a social media app. Investigators found the images on the juvenile's phone while investigating the case involving Meyers.
