October brings a special SPECIAL Music Event for a Thursday Evening, October 18, 2012, 7PM.
Joy Ike's music is an indie-infused mix of jazz, pop, and neo-soul. The Pittsburgh-grown, Nigerian singer/songwriter has garnered much success in the independent music scene and has been voted "Best Solo Artist" by the Pittsburgh City Paper for three years. Joy returns to DMH this evening for a unique experience of both performance and an interactive workshop of sorts for DMH music students, along with Ian Ethan Case who is a multi-instrumentalist who plays both the double-neck guitar and kalimba.
This concert will be for the public and DMH students as well. Joy and Ian will perform their music in the round and will also interact with some students.
