On Sunday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Douglas Brandt will be installed as Senior Minister of Peters Creek United Presbyterian Church during a special service at the church located at 250 Brookwood Road, Venetia. Pastor Brandt was called by the congregation in June and his first Sunday was September 16. He and his wife, Katie and their three sons come to us from Oneonta Congregational Church in South Pasadena, CA. He holds degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA and Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, VA. Peters Creek is a member of the Presbytery of the Alleghenies of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Pastor Brandt’s vision for Peters Creek Church is for it to become a large dynamic congregation, living a vital Reformed Faith!
Rev. Brandt is excited to be part of a growing community of faith. He is currently enjoying “fireside chats” with the congregation in order to get to know them on a more personal basis. These conversations will be led by Rev. Brandt. He will be listening and learning to understand what the congregation is passionate about and where they feel change is needed. He will also present the new MissionVision statements created by the Church Session (Elder Board) in their January retreat during these “chats.” Peters Creek is committed to youth, children's ministry, adult discipleship, and helping families in transition through Family Promise.
There will be a reception immediately following the installation and the community is invited to share this exciting event with us. Please call the office at (724) 941-6210 or visit www.peterscreekchurch.org for directions.
