Relay For Life Of Peters Township invites the community to join in the annual Show Us Your Hope celebration and cancer survivors’ reception May 14, 6:30 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 530 Center Church Road, McMurray.
The public is welcome to join cancer survivors, caregivers, Relay For Life of Peters Township team members and event planning committee members for an evening of inspirational and motivating messages of HOPE and to honor cancer survivors.

Bethany Leo, a cancer survivor, will be the guest speaker.
The goal of Show Us Your Hope is to visually depict how Relay For Life brings hope to a community. Refreshments will be served and there is no admission charge. People attending the event are asked to wear purple, the signature color of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, signifying the passion that cancer survivors and their families and loved ones feel for finding a cure for the disease. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony. There is no admission fee.

Carnival...We Are Not Clowning Around is the theme of the 2013 Relay For Life of Peters Township, to be held on Saturday, August 3rd at the PTHS High School stadium. Opening ceremonies begin at noon, followed at 12:30 p.m. with the Survivor’s and Caregiver’s Ceremony.
Relay For Life is not a running or race activity. Teams and other supporters walk around the track at their own pace.
The event will feature lots of fun activities for all ages, including carnival style family friendly games, talent show, live musical entertainment and food.
The Luminaria Ceremony, which honors survivors and those who lost their battle with the disease, begins at 9 p.m. on Aug 3. Luminaria may be purchased with a $10 donation online or by mail with a donation from the heart. Contact Rita Reo at rrreo2@aol.com for ordering or additional information.
