Meals on Wheels of Peters Township needs volunteer drivers on weekday mornings for existing routes, and to help start a new route.
Our Meals on Wheels has been serving the senior citizen community for 40 years, and now delivers over 200 meals daily in a wide area that includes Peters, Canonsburg, Houston, Eighty-Four, Finleyville, Bridgeville, and neighboring communities. More volunteers are needed to meet this growing need. We have several options for volunteers: driving, kitchen help, and baking. Currently, our greatest need is for more drivers to deliver both existing routes and to help start a new route in the Canonsburg/Houston area. Drivers deliver meals from 10:30 AM to about 12:30 PM, either once a week or as occasional/seasonal substitutes. It is a very rewarding experience
