Peters Earth Day Activites: Yoga, Bird Watching & Backpacking
Those are among the activities the township has scheduled at Peters Lake Park.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - Earth Day activities will abound at Peters Lake Park, with the township scheduling a variety of appropriately themed events on April 22.
Here’s what to expect:
- From 1-2 p.m:
Introduction to Birding with Tom Contreras, Washington & Jefferson College Biology Department acting chairman. Please bring your own binoculars.

- From 1 p.m.-4 p.m.:
Wildlife Show & Tell with Humane Animal Rescue
Fun with Fly Fishing by Orvis
Backpacking Basics with REI
Nature Scavenger Hunt with Eddie Bauer
Upcycled Plant Pots with Peters Township Parks & Recreation
- From 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
Outdoor Yoga
Ages 18 and older; must register to participate. Bring a yoga mat and towel to protect the mat. Yoga will take place near the shelter. There is a $5 fee to participate.
