Peters Farmers Market 2018: More Convenience For Consumers

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - The Peters Township Farmers Market resumes May 23 and this year it will be even more convenient to purchase your fruits, vegetables and other products. The market now hosts the Fresh Access token program, which permits customers to use their credit or debit cards if they run out of cash.

Those using the program should stop by the information tent to get their transaction processed in exchange for tokens that can be used like cas with participating vendors. Tokens are transferable and can be used at other Fresh Access markets or save for use in future weeks.

There’s more. Those making EBT transactions will receive for every $5 of tokens purchased a voucher for an additional $2 to be used for fresh fruits and vegetables at that market. The full list of participating vendors is available at the information tent.

The market will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., May 23 through Sept. 26 at St. David’s Episcopal Church on East McMurray Road. This year’s vendors include:
