Peters Schedules Drive-Thru Santa Event
The township is offering families a different way to see Santa this year.
PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA — The township's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony can't be held this year because of the coronavirus. But children and their families still will get an opportunity to see Santa in drive-thru fashion.
The Santa Express event will be held Dec. 6 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the municipal complex parking lot on East McMurray Road.
Children are invited to write a letter to Santa and drop it off at the event. If a return address is enclosed, township officials said they are confident St. Nick will write back.
