Peters School District Plans New High School By 2021
School directors are expected to advance the $85 million project at a June 26 meeting.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - Peters Township High School Turns 50 years old this year. It won’t make it to 60. School directors on June 26 are expected to advance plans to build a new high school.
Requests for proposals will be sought to construct an $85 million, 285,000 square-foot, three story building on the site of the former Rolling Hills Country Club. The building is expected to be ready to open for the 2021-22 school year, according to district documents.
The district plans to select a construction manager for the project by August.
Also on Monday, the district is expected to retain Traffic Planning & Design Inc. to perform a traffic study at the proposed entrance to the new high school campus at East McMurray and Center Church roads.
The high school would be built on the former 180-acre country club property on East McMurray Road, which is jointly owned by Peters Township and the school district. The township has hired an engineering firm to design a master plan to convert its portion of the property into what will be known as Peters Hill Park.
