Peters Soliciting Amphitheater Sponsorships
Township hopes to offer additional activities at Peterswood Park venue.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - It’s nearly showtime. As the township prepares to debut its new $460,000 Peterswood Park amphitheater, private sponsors are being sought to increase the number of events held there.
The Parks & Recreation Department has come up with a four-level sponsorship tier that officials hope will entice businesses to purchase for the promotional benefits each level provides. The tiers range in price from $250 to $3,000.
Recreation supervisor Lisa Taylor said a number of new activities might occur at the amphitheater if enough businesses “recognize the importance of the services we provide” and purchase a sponsorship.

“This year, we will not only feature our annual summer concerts but will also offer a number of great family events,” she said. “Anticipate the addition of Sunday afternoon concerts, food trucks, outdoor movies on our new inflatable screen, a comedy show, talent show and more.”
Additional revenue to stage the extra events possibly could come from new permit sales that will permit people to bring alcoholic beverages into the park and amphitheater area. The permit fee will be $100 for a shelter, $250 for the amphitheater.
