Washington Financial Bank awards scholarship to Peters Township Graduate

Peters Township graduate Jake Floyd received a scholarship from Washington Financial Bank.  Washington Financial awards 10 scholarships to local students each year based primarily on community service and academic achievement. 

 

Mr. Floyd actively volunteers at Canonsburg General Hospital and AcquaBlue Medical Spa, where he developed educational books about dermatology and laser practices for patients.  In the fall, Mr. Floyd will attend Duke University and study Engineering.

Other recipients of the Bank's 2013 scholarship include Taylor Allen, Desiree Dever, James S. Dlugos, III, Natalie Gloady, Mikayla Lunardini, Emily McPeake, Leah Marie Seader, Nicole Stevenson and Jordan T. Yates.

Washington Financial Bank commends its scholarship recipients on their exceptional commitment to their academics and community.  This year’s recipients logged more than 2,700 community service hours.
