Your Vote Can Mean Money For McMurray Elementary
The school's video needs your vote to help it win a national competition.

PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA - McMurray Elementary School has entered the Follett Challenge, a $200,000 national education contest to recognize unique and inventive K-12 programs and is looking to district students and residents for help to win a financial award.
In addition to completing an online application for the annual Follett Challenge, McMurray submitted a short video to promote its program that instructs students on the 21st century skills they need to be prepared for life.
Ten Follett prizes, valued at $8,000 each, will be from the people’s choice category and will solely be based on how many votes applicants have received for their videos from the public. Video voting runs from Jan. 22-26. The McMurray video can be seen by clicking the link.

After registering, people can cast one vote per day until voting ends. The votes are significant in the video-voting portion of the contest, but they also will play a role in the overall rubric as 20 percent of each school’s final score is based on the number of votes generated for their video.
